Biography

William Slaybaugh is a multidisciplinary artist working with digital imagery, printmaking, and kiln-formed glass. Born and raised in Wisconsin, he studied at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, an institution with a rich history in the early studio glass movement. There, he earned his Master of Fine Arts in mixed media sculpture before relocating to San Diego.
After graduation, William developed a passion for photography and printmaking, which became central to his practice when access to glass facilities was limited. He later began combining photographic imagery with glass, continually pushing the possibilities of his home studio. His current work explores visual storytelling through digitized 35mm slides and layered glass forms.
